Van driver facing fine for huge stack of wooden pallets

"He's endangered other road users. I ask you all to be sensible at the wheel."

Jan. 31 (UPI) — Authorities in Spain said they have identified the driver of a white van seen traveling on a busy road with a high stack of wooden pallets balanced on its roof.

Paterna Mayor Juan Antonio Sagredo posted a video to Facebook showing the van traveling down a road in the town with a stack of pallets that more than doubled the vehicle’s height.

“I have instructed local police to report the driver for this recklessness which took place in our municipality,” Sagredo wrote. “He’s endangered other road users. I ask you all to be sensible at the wheel.”

Police said they have identified the driver, who they said is known to sell used wooden pallets to companies in the area.

Investigators said the driver is now facing a fine of up to $1,243.https://www.upi.com/Odd_News/2018/01/31/Van-driver-facing-fine-for-huge-stack-of-wooden-pallets/7961517418780/?utm_source=sec&utm_campaign=sl&utm_medium=9
