Man Robs Nashville Family Dollar With Hatchet, Grabs Jerky and Sausages

Metro Police say a man robbed a Family Dollar store in Nashville in a most unusual way. They say he entered the store wearing a green sweatshirt and green hat. Employees say he took off his clothes and put on a red sweatshirt and red hat from the store merhandise.

Employees say they then confronted Timothy Wiggins (27) and asked him to return the merchandise. That’s when they say he pulled a hatchet out of pants and threatened them.

They called police. That’s when he allegedly grabbed beef jerky and a can of vienna sausages and ran out out of the store on Jefferson Street.

Police caught him nearby, wearing the stolen clothes. He also had the hatchet, vienna sausages, and beef jerky. Police searched the store’s surveillance video and confirmed it went down as employees said.

For a guy in jail for aggravated assault, he sure was happy when they booked him.
