Two people critically injured in head-on collision near Neola, Iowa

Two people were critically injured in a head-on crash near Neola, Iowa, according to Pottawattamie County 911 dispatchers.

The crash occurred about 8:15 p.m. at the intersection of Railroad Highway and Tamarack Road. Neola is northeast of Council Bluffs.

The injured were taken to Jennie Edmundson and Mercy Hospitals in Council Bluffs.

Four other people, an adult and three children, were also taken to a local hospital to be checked out, but they were not seriously injured.
