WASHINGTON D.C. – A Nebraska senator had the chance to speak about women’s issues with daughter of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.
Accompanied by 14 other female lawmakers, Senator Deb Fischer spoke with Ivanka Trump last week about issues related to women.
In the roundtable discussion, the group spoke in depth about women in the workplace. The meeting held in Washington D.C. touched on equal pay, paid family leave as well as making families stronger.
Iowa Sen. Joni Ernst and was also in attendance for the discussion.
Senator Fischer has pledged her support for Donald Trump in the November presidential election, while Nebraska’s junior senator Ben Sasse has declined to endorse any candidate.
