Nebraska State Patrol troopers seized 170 pounds of marijuana after stopping a vehicle early Friday morning on Interstate 80 in Omaha.
Other THC products were found as well.
A trooper pulled over a Toyota van that was traveling east for a registration violation, and a police dog signaled the presence of drugs in the van, the patrol reported Friday.
A search of the vehicle produced 170 pounds of pot, more than 2 pounds of THC (a compound found in cannabis) and more than 3,000 THC vape pens.
The patrol estimated the street value of the drugs at more than $500,000. Troopers arrested two people — the 50-year-old driver and a 35-year-old passenger, both from Trail, Oregon. Troopers put them in a Douglas County Corrections facility.
The patrol placed two children in the vehicle in protective custody.
