Person of interest in Loofe disappearance no longer at Saline County Jail

Aubrey Trail, a person of interest in the disappearance of 24-year-old Lincoln woman Sydney Loofe, has been moved from the Saline County Jail.

An officer at the Saline County Jail said Thursday morning Trail is no longer in their custody, but were unable to say when or were he had been moved.

The officer did confirm a second person of interest, Bailey Boswell, is still at the Saline County Jail.

1011 NOW has reached out to the U.S. Marshall’s Office who said they are unable to disclose information about Trail’s whereabouts.

Calls were also placed to the FBI and Trail’s attorney. The FBI referred to the U.S. Marshall’s Office for comment.

On November 16, Loofe went missing from Lincoln. After an extended search, Loofe’s body was discovered on Dec. 5 in rural Clay County.

Boswell and Trail were named person’s of interest in November, and were taken into custody in Missouri.

They were extradited to Saline County Jail on charges unrelated to the Loofe dissapearnce.
