Omaha man tells police he secretly photographed baby sitter while she was in his bathroom

A 24-year-old man has been cited on suspicion of misdemeanor invasion of privacy after admitting to police that he secretly photographed a baby sitter while she was using the bathroom at his northeast Omaha home.

A 26-year-old woman told officers that she often would baby-sit for the man and his wife because she was friends with the wife. She said she didn’t know about the peephole in the wall of the house near 42nd and Binney Streets.

The photographs were taken between Oct. 1 and Nov. 11, 2017, according to a police report.

Officers investigating a separate case found the peephole in a wall between the man’s bedroom and the bathroom, the report said. During questioning at Omaha Police Headquarters, the man told officers he had taken pictures of the baby sitter while she was using the bathroom.

In another case involving the man, he was arrested Friday on suspicion of soliciting prostitution.
