A motorist was critically injured Tuesday morning in a one-vehicle crash in northwest Omaha.
The crash at Blair High Road and State Street occurred around 6:35 a.m., according to reports to Douglas County 911 dispatchers.
The crash occurred just west of Blair High Road on State Street. A small westbound SUV may have crossed eastbound State Street and an access road before driving up a small hill into a farm field and then rolling back into a roadside ditch.
The SUV apparently clipped off a post or road sign, leaving the vehicle’s windshield heavily damaged.
Rescue squad personnel from Irvington and Bennington transported the man, who had life-threatening injuries, to the hospital.
