Man struck by vehicle while walking dog

LINCOLN, Neb. – A Lincoln man remains in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle while walking his dog on Sunday.

Around 12:10 p.m. on Feb. 4, a Ford Fusion was traveling west on South Street near 70th Street when the vehicle lost control on some ice.

The Ford Fusion jumped a nearby curb and struck the man walking his dog, police said.

According to a Lincoln Police accident report, the injured party is Troy Thompson, 46, of Lincoln

Thompson was transported with life-threatening injuries and remains in critical condition as of Monday morning.

No citations have been issued.

The dog was uninjured in the accident.
