Lincoln man, 29, is killed in motorcycle crash

A 29-year-old Lincoln man died early Saturday morning in a motorcycle crash southwest of the capital city.

It was not immediately clear what caused his eastbound Yamaha R6L motorcycle to leave the 2600 block of West Roca Road shortly after midnight, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office said.

The motorcycle appears to have run off the road, entered the south ditch and flipped trying to exit the ditch. The rider, identified in a Sheriff’s Office press release as Di Di, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.

He was wearing a Department of Transportation-approved helmet, and neither drugs nor alcohol are believed to have been a factor in the crash.
