Peggy M. Tennant, 64, of Beatrice passed away at Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, KS on Wednesday, December 5, 2018. She was born June 21, 1954 to Leonard and Marcella Gerrard Grabher in Beatrice. She graduated from Beatrice High School in 1972 and then attended Fairbury Jr. College. She married Brad Tennant on July 21, 1982 at Centenary United Methodist Church of Beatrice. She worked at Martin Luther Home, Beatrice State Developmental Center, Beatrice Public Schools and had several cleaning jobs. She loved helping people and was well liked by the community. She was a hard worker and always thought of others before herself. She enjoyed flowers, travelling, spending time with her friends and grandchildren and was an avid Nebraska football fan.
Survivors include her husband, Brad of Beatrice; two daughters, Tania (Brian) Pittel of Overland Park, KS and Monica Tennant of Beatrice; three grandchildren, Cole Tennant, Gavin and Adalyn Pittel; one brother, Fred (Mona) Grabher of Omaha; father, Loren (Teda) Beran of Beatrice; mother-in-law, Jackie Tennant of Wymore; sister-in-law, Teresa (Rick) Mangus of Plymouth; many nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Grabher and Marcella Gerrard Grabher Beran; father-in-law, Dallas (Bernice) Tennant; aunt, Marie (Vernon) Grabher.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, December 10, 2018 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Beatrice with Pastor Kathee Forrest officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Home Cemetery of Beatrice. A family prayer service will be held at 10:45 A.M. at the church on Monday. A memorial has been established to the family for future designation.
The body will lie in state at the Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice from 12:00 Noon to 8:00 P.M. Sunday with the family meeting and greeting family and friends from 6:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. Sunday and at the church one hour preceding the services on Monday.
