Malcolm “Mac” Miller, 60, of Douglas passed away suddenly at the NE Heart Institute in Lincoln on Sunday, February 11, 2018. He was born May 22, 1957 at Lancaster, Ohio to Leo Thomas and Mary Lou Miller. He grew up in Logan, Ohio and graduated from Logan High School in 1975. After graduating, he worked for a farmer and also in an oil field. He moved to Lincoln in 1978. In 1981 he moved to Colorado for a short time before moving to Paxton, NE where he worked on a ranch until moving back to Lincoln. He later purchased a farm southwest of Douglas and had lived there since that time. He was the maintenance manager at BryanLGH West Drug and Rehabilitation Center in Lincoln. He enjoyed fishing, horses, farming and being on the tractor. “Mac” always said he wanted to retire and move to Wyoming and live on the biggest lake in the smallest shoe box.
Survivors include two children by blood, John Miller of Douglas and Jessica Miller of Lincoln; many children by heart, Larry Leafty, Tanner Jon Malcolm Leafty, Nick Fruh, Cody Sims, Lonnie Sims, Alex Anderson, Elijah Watts, Cory Lang, Brian Schmidt,Jody Sims, Wayne Wallen and family; one granddaughter, Skilar Lynn Miller of Lincoln; his mother, Mary Lou Miller of Douglas; sister, Dawn (Zeke) Carter of Westminster, CO; one nephew, Cory (Jacqui) Carter; one niece, Chelsea (Jason) Baldwin; great-niece, Delu Carter; great-nephew, Caden Carter; extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Leo Thomas Miller.
Memorial Services will be held on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at the Panama Presbyterian Church of Panama with Pastor Darin Bentzinger officiating. There will be no viewing.
