Donald R. Morrison, 69, of Beatrice in Lincoln on Sunday, February 11, 2018. He was born April 25, 1948 at Clarinda, IA and graduated from Ft. Lupton, CO in 1967. He had a 22 year military career in the Army serving in Vietnam and Korea. After his discharge, he attended electronic trade school and then owned and operated Morrison Electronics. He also worked for Stan’s and Store Kraft in Beatrice. He was a volunteer at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Lincoln working with stroke victims. He was a member of the American Legion in Missouri. He enjoyed John Wayne movies, genealogy and especially his family.
Survivors include his wife, Pam of Beatrice; sons, Paul Morrison of Beatrice and Samuel (Jadah) Morrison of Colorado; daughter, Nicole (Bill) Kiffin of Brady; nine grandchildren, Christopher, Logan, Kyrie, Ethan, Madysen, Orion, Mike, Leo and Brook; brothers, Lloyd (Alicia) Morrison of Maryland, Richard and Bill Morrison both of Colorado; sisters, Sally Proctor of Michigan and Echoe Shriver of North Dakota; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Morrison and Dawn Wiltfong Brown; daughter, Modanna Michelle Morrison; brothers-in-law, Carl Proctor and Jeff Shriver.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice with David A. Bigley officiating. Cremation. No viewing. A register book will be available for signatures at Fox Funeral Home on Thursday from 8:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. Military honors will be conducted by the U.S. Army.
