Dennis Lee Clark, 76, passed away at Bryan LGH Hospital Sunday February 10, 2019. He was born on September 5, 1942 to Mary B. (Ramsey) Shalla and Erwin Clark. He joined the United States Navy at 19 years old and proudly served his country during the Korean War. Dennis married his forever love, Patty Lane on December 29, 1972 in Council Bluffs, IA. Hand in hand they never left each other and enjoyed 46 wonderful years of marriage. Dennis worked for Norris Public Power for many years in maintenance and made many wonderful friends. He then worked for Common Wealth Electric for 35 years until he retired at the age of 55. He was a member of Local Union 1525 from Omaha. He was also a proud member of the Beatrice Gun Club for 40 years, where he cherished shooting trap and skeet with his son, Danny and son-in-law, Tony. He loved, hunting, reloading, and target shooting and made many friendships that he cherished very much. His love and passion for gun shows and garage sales was shared with his son, Danny, as well as working side by side in the garage. His daughter, Angie, was his “Dinkydo” and constant companion, always helping with the computer, working in the garage, and fixing the vehicles. Dennis loved watching football, alongside his children and grandchildren. He was very fond of his grandchildren and enjoyed teaching them about life. His wife, children, and grandchildren were the apple of his eye, as well as his beloved little dog, “Gizmo”.
Survivors include his wife, Patty Clark of Beatrice; children, Mary Pankratz and husband Tony of Lincoln, Angie Clark of Beatrice, Danny Clark and wife Christina of Beatrice, Shelia Himmer of Stillwater, MN; grandchildren, Brandon Vicars and fiancee Zannie of Beatrice, Cody Adams of Beatrice, Andrew Johnny Lee Clark of Beatrice, Cahlin Himmer and Cheyenne Himmer of Stillwater, MN. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Mary B. Shalla; step-father, Richard Shalla; father, Erwin Clark; uncle, Clyde Ramsey; cousins, Sharon and Marla Kay along with many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
