Darwin G. Guiffre, age 54 of North Bend, formerly of Wymore passed away on November 17, 2017 at Bergan Mercy Medical Center in Omaha. He was born on December 29, 1962 in Los Angeles, California to Richard and Audrey (Crumb) Guiffre. Darwin was a 1981 graduate of Southern High School. After graduation, he joined the United States Army and served until his medical discharge in 1982. Darwin was a truck driver for Dedicated Transport of Elkhorn. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on cars, mowing his yard, but he especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Julie; children, Desirae Guiffre of Beatrice, Jessica Guiffre of Beatrice, Derrick Guiffre and wife Amber of Wymore, and Justin Guiffre and wife Chelsea of Beatrice; grandchildren, Devin Wright, Dominick and Malaki Guiffre, Jordan and Carter Guiffre, and Wyatt, Sophia and Madilyn Guiffre; brothers, Roy Hereth of Lincoln and Gary Hereth of Blue Springs; and sister, Anna Guiffre of Lincoln; several nieces and nephews and a host of extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Antoinette Hereth; and brother, George Hereth.
