Bill Lovell, Sr. age 77, of Wymore, passed away on December 11, 2018 at the Beatrice Community Hospital and Health Center. He was born on May 1, 1941 in Clifton, Illinois to Howard and Birdie (Mullins) Lovell. He and Jeannie Morgan were united in marriage on October 23, 1961 in Clayton, New Mexico, and from this union, 5 children were born: Naylor, Bill Jr., Joseph, Rose Marie, and Lisa. The family moved to Wymore in 1972 where Bill was an asphalt paving and painting specialist. He was an avid lover of vehicles and his favorite hobby was restoring and fixing vehicles. He also enjoyed going to the casino and playing Keno, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family – sharing stories with his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and anyone else willing to listen. Bill was a member of the Wymore Masonic Lodge and the River Of Life Church in Wymore.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jeannie of Wymore; son, Naylor Lovell and wife Connie of Wymore; daughter, Lisa Hosfelt and husband Jerry of Wymore; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; his beloved dog, Buddy; 5 brothers; 2 sisters; many nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his sons, Bill Lovell Jr. and Joseph Lovell; daughter Rose Marie Lovell; brother, Johnny Lovell; and his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the Wymore Church of Christ with Kevin Redfield and Roger Warford officiating. Burial will be at the Marysville Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home in Wymore on Friday, December 14 from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM with the family greeting relatives and friends from 5:30 to 7:00 PM, and at the church one hour prior to the service Saturday. Memorial contributions may be designated to the Bill Lovell Memorial Fund for a charitable donation to be made in Bill’s name at a later date with the funeral home in charge.
