Adeline Mae Kaelin, 4 days old, passed away peacefully in the arms of her parents on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at their home in DeWitt. She was born August 18, 2017 at 2:11 PM at Bryan Medical Center in Lincoln to Joel and Becky (Pohl) Kaelin. Adeline was 6 pounds, 7 ounces and 16 inches long, and was baptized shortly after her birth. During her brief visit on earth, she enjoyed cuddling and being held close by her family. Her family cherished every moment with her as she had a terminal diagnosis of anencephaly. Adeline was a beautiful little girl with a pretty little smile. All who met her loved her, and she will be greatly missed.
Adeline is survived by her parents Joel and Becky Kaelin; Siblings Macie and Aiden; Grandparents Scott and Nancy Pohl of Crete and Scott and Denise Kaelin of Ansley; Aunts and Uncles Casey (Matt) Gustafson of Ireton, IA, Derek Pohl of Crete, Nicole (Brice) King of Humphrey, and Holly (Dustin) Oligmuller of Atkinson; Cousin Madison Gustafson; Great Grandparents Dennis and Judy Stunkel of Broken Bow, and Dean and Marlene Kaelin of Ansley.
She was preceded in death by her infant sister Gracie Kaelin; Great Grandparents Dale and Sharon Pohl and Dale and Patricia Danekas.
Private family graveside services on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the Oak Grove Cemetery in DeWitt with Reverend Sean Koos officiating.
