BEATRICE – The SCC Storm men and women’s teams each scored over fifty points apiece in the second half to defeat Central Community College on Saturday.
In the girls matchup, CCC had a four point lead at the half before SCC erupted for 31 points in the third quarter, holding off the Lady Raiders in the end, 88-73.
The Lady Storm had five players in double figures, with Jay’la Brown leading with 16 points.
CCC was led by 18 points apiece from Payton Blanke and Teisha Snyder.
The mens team was also down at the half, 39-36, before scoring 56 in the second half in a 92-80 victory.
The Storm had six players in double figures with nobody with more than 15 points. Richie Rodger had the 15 and he made all three three pointers he attempted and all six free throws he took. Daniel Quesenberry and Taylor Britt each had 14, as well.
The Raiders were led by Marco Fabietti’s 22 points.
