COMMENTS: Papio South jumps five spots after back-to-back nights in which the Titans knocked off Omaha South and pushed Omaha Westside to the limit. Grand Island joins the fray on the strength of the Heartland Athletic Conference tournament title. The Islanders won three shootouts over teams with a combined record of 22-8 on their way to the crown. Monday’s Metro Conference championship kicks off a week with plenty of ranked matchups.

COMMENTS: Newcomer Norfolk Lutheran/Norfolk Catholic enters the ratings after a shootout win over three-time defending champion Columbus Scotus. A 1-0 loss is the only stain on the NL/NC résumé. South Sioux City rises to No. 2 after five straight wins that followed one-score losses to Class A powers Omaha South and Omaha Creighton Prep. Lexington, with a pair of losses to Kearney, slides two spots.
