NCN Area Athletes to Take Part in 8-Man All-Star Game
Tyler Giddeon, of the 2016 Class D-1 State Champion Burwell Longhorns, will be playing for the West team in the Sertoma 8-Man All-Star Game on Saturday.

HASTINGS – The best 8-man football players in the state will get to display their talents one last time this weekend.

The Sertoma 8-Man All-Star game kicks off at Hastings College on Saturday evening with the West taking on the East.

The West Team has come out on top 7 of the last 9 contest and has several Grand Island players on the roster including Michael Gibbons (Twin Loup), Hunter Reimers (Palmer), LeShaun Thornabar (Elm Creek), Nate Bartling (Elm Creek), Tyler Gideon (Burwell), and Tucker Gartner (Giltner).

The East Team has two Grand Island Area players in Austin Stuhr (Heartland), and Benny Stevens (Nebraska Christian).

The East squad has NCN area players from Northeast and Southeast Nebraska as well as the Columbus area.

Those players include Peyton Watts (Osceola), Dawson Sudbeck (Wynot), Kale Kleinschmidt (BDS), Colby Ensz (Tri County), Bradley Bunner (Clarkson-Leigh), Nolan Plagge (GACC), Ryan Neumann (Creighton), Trevor Luzum (Exeter-Milligan), Chad Bode (EPPJ), Zach Bayer (Howells-Dodge), Tyler Reikofski (Osmond), Cole Wemhoff (Humphrey St. Francis), Chris Bentley (Neligh-Oakdale), Derek Reardon (Humphrey-Lindsay Holy Family), Sam Morrill (Creighton), Andrew Schuller (High Plains), Cole Bruns (Bloomfield), Colton Davis (Lourdes Central Catholic), John Surber (Osceola), and Bryant John (Falls City Sacred Heart).

The game is set to begin at 6 PM.
