Kansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez is expected to be in uniform for the Storm Chasers for their doubleheader Thursday at Werner Park.

Perez will be transferred from Double-A Northwest Arkansas, where he has been on a rehab assignment. Perez injured his knee just before the start of the regular season.

Perez has been an all-star five straight seasons, earning four Gold Gloves as well. In seven seasons in the majors, the 27-year-old Perez has 114 homers and 423 RBIs. He played for Omaha in 2011 and 2012.

Cold temperatures caused Wednesday’s game between the Chasers (3-9) and Memphis (10-3) to be postponed.

The game will be made up as part of Thursday’s doubleheader beginning at 5:05 p.m. at Werner Park. Both games will be seven innings.

The Chasers are expected to start Andres Machado against Jack Flaherty in the opener. The starters for the nightcap weren’t announced.
