Hanover Steamrolls Wetmore

WETMORE, Kan. – The Hanover football team continued its dominance Friday with a 48-0 victory over Wetmore.

The Wildcats got on the board quickly when Brennan Zabokrtsky returned a punt 38 yards for a touchdown. On the following series Thomas Atkins came up with an interception that set up a 12-yard touchdown run for Kevin Diederich and the lead only grew from there.

Diederich led Hanover with 59 rushing yards and two touchdowns and Carter Bruna added a rushing touchdown. Daiken Stallbaumer threw for 119 yards and two scores on a 41-yard touchdown to Atkins and a 62-yarder to Zabokrtsky.

Hanover’s defense meanwhile limited Wetmore to just 32 yards of total offense.

The Wildcats improve to 5-0 on the season and will return home next week to host Blue Valley. Wetmore falls to 2-3 and will face Axtell next week.
