David City Stays Unbeaten with Victory Over Wilber
David City is heading to the fourth day of state as the only unbeaten team remaining.

CENTRAL CITY – David City is sitting comfortably heading into the fourth day of state.

The seniors shutout Wilber 6-0 at Kernel Field on Monday night, making them the only unbeaten team remaining in the competition.

Brandon Daro (2-for-3, RBI, R) and Nolan Helgoth (2-for-4, 2 RBI, R) notched multiple hits in the win while Ryan Worm (1-for-4, RBI) drove in a run.

Spencer Thompson (2-for-3) provided two of Wilber’s three hits in the defeat.

Wilber will face PWG in an elimination contest at 5 PM on Tuesday while David City will take on Yutan at 8 PM. Both contest will be broadcast live on NCN channel 30.1 (Grand Island), 48.1 (Columbus), and 21.1 (Beatrice) and will be streamed online at NCNSportsNow.com
