Bailey rushes for over 300 yards and six touchdowns in Johnson County Central victory

YUTAN – The Johnson County Central football team brought their season record to 2-2 Friday night, thanks to a 300-yard rushing performance from running back Josh Bailey.

The Thunderbirds (2-2) defeated the Chieftains (2-2), 41-6.

Bailey, who was highlighted by Huskerland Prep Report Publisher Bob Jensen as one of the top players to watch in Class C2 this season, ran the ball 20 times for 323 yards and six touchdowns.

Johnson County Central Head Coach, Gabe Meints, credits his offensive lineman, Simon Rother, Aldo Reyes, Roberto Borboa, Sean Golden, Hunter Clifton, Quentin Xayaphonesongkham, Tuker Liberty and Trey Holthus, for helping lead the way for Bailey’s performance.

The Thunderbirds host Conestoga on Friday.
