Auburn Ends Falls City’s Season, Will Take on Syracuse Tuesday Night

BEATRICE – Sub-districts began throughout the entire state of Nebraska and multiple southeast Nebraska teams faced-off at Beatrice High School on Monday.

In the first match of the evening, the #4 Falls City Tigers had absolutely no trouble with #5 Fairbury, winning in straight sets 25-17, 25-5, 25-21. Alyssa Frederick was dominant in all three sets of the match.

Fairbury’s season ends at 8-22, a seven game improvement from last season’s 1-29 record.

In match two, #2 Syracuse dominated #3 Wilber-Clatonia 25-17, 25-11 and 25-12 to advance to finals on Tuesday night. They will face Auburn, who took down Falls City in three sets, 25-11, 25-23, 25-19.

The championship match is set for 7 p.m.
