Wymore Couple Given Probation, for Drug Offenses

BEATRICE – A Wymore husband and wife will serve probation terms, for drug convictions.

Nicholas and Audra Troxel were sentenced Thursday, by Judge Julie Smith, in Gage County District Court.

Nicholas Troxel was ordered to serve a four-year probation sentence for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, within one-thousand feet of a playground.  Audra Troxel was given an 18-month probation term for convictions of attempted possession of THC and attempted possession of more than a pound of marijuana.   The judge said Nicholas Troxel could face serious consequences if terms of his probation sentence are not followed.

There were joint state and defense recommendations for probation in both cases. Judge Smith ordered a civil forfeiture of $6,378 cash, seized from the couple during the investigation.   That was part of a plea agreement in the cases.

The conviction of Nicholas Troxel was a felony, while Audra Troxel was convicted of two misdemeanors.  The sentence for Nicholas Troxel included six, 15-day jail terms throughout the probation…but that time can be waived if he follows all terms of his probation sentence.
