The north ramps of Nebraska Highway 2 on the southeast edge of Nebraska City are to be switched to head-to-head traffic beginning Thursday.
The switch-over to head-to-head traffic will remain in place until the project is completed in the fall, the Nebraska Department of Roads said.
The traffic change is due to the construction of new ramps and new paving on the south side of Highway 2.
Motorists will be controlled by traffic signals at the Highway 2/U.S. Highway 75 intersection, roads officials said.
Speed limits will be reduced and fines for speeding will be enforced while workers are present, officials said.
