Woman Arrested After Crashing Into Building

NORFOLK, NE — A woman is behind bars after crashing her vehicle into a building Saturday afternoon.

Norfolk Police Captain Michael Bauer says 46-year old Jennifer Norman was driving eastbound on Benjamin avenue around 12:30 PM when she lost control of her vehicle, cut across the grass by the Elkhorn Valley Bank sign, then drove through Riverside Boulevard, over a grassy decline and into a building at Country Club Plaza.

Bauer says Norman failed a field sobriety test at the scene and was arrested for her second offense of driving under the influence, driving without an operator’s license and inhaling an intoxicant. She is currently being held at the Norfolk jail.

Fortunately for the property owner, the vehicle crashed into vacant space that sits directly between restaurants Eat Fit Go and Panda Garden. Neither of the restaurants sustained damage.
