BEATRICE – Beatrice Community Hospital hosted a Wellness Fair on Saturday. The event replaces the health fair that has been held at the National Guard Training Center in past years.
Erin Williams and Mike Hahn Co-coordinated the event. Williams says preventing serious health conditions from beginning, is the goal of the event.
:20 “over time”
Hahn says occasionally, tests or screens offered during events like the Wellness Fair can point to something that needs to be checked out.
:28 “healthier person”
Williams says the hospital’s own employees are trained in wellness classes to be mindful of what you are doing. That might include tracking things like diet, sleep, or something as simple as water intake.
:21 “daily lives”
Hahn says the hospital uses evidence-based information to help people stay healthier.
Saturday’s Wellness Day was scheduled for six a.m. until eleven a.m., but some participants arrived as early as five-thirty, to visit the various exhibits and screening stations.
