Two Injured as Car Collides With Planter, South of Beatrice

BEATRICE – The driver and a passenger suffered minor injuries when their car struck a planter being pulled by a tractor Thursday morning, south of Beatrice.

Gage County Sheriff’s Deputies say a Ford Escort driven by 57-year-old Kim Linsenmeyer, of Beatrice was traveling east on Oak Road, when the car collided with the planter, at around nine a.m.

35-year-old Derek Wilkinson, of Table Rock was operating the southbound John Deere tractor pulling the planter, along South 10th Road.

Linsenmeyer and a passenger, 55-year-old Marla Locker, of Beatrice, were taken to Beatrice Community Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.  Wilkinson was not injured.

Responding to the accident were Beatrice Fire and Rescue, Wymore Fire and Rescue and Landmark Implement Service.  The accident scene is about five miles south of Beatrice.
