NORFOLK – Two men are facing felony charges after police say they threatened someone then tried to hide the weapon in a store.
Police Capt. Don Miller says 27-year old Mercedis Divis and 20-year old Monica Moreno, both of Norfolk, were arrested on Sunday. Miller says police were called to the Norfolk Wal Mart at about 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, after receiving a report that someone had been threatened with a gun.
Miller says the victim identified Divis as the person that threatened them. Police say Divis then had Marino hide the gun inside the Wal Mart, which police were able to recover.
Both were arrested on felony weapons charges as well as terroristic threats. They’re currently housed in the Madison County Jail.
