Two Adams Men Hospitalized, Following Crash of Pickups

BEATRICE – The drivers of two pickups colliding near Adams Sunday, were taken to a Lincoln hospital….one by air, and the other by ground ambulance.

Gage County Sheriff’s deputies say the injured men are identified as 24-year-old Jacob Schuster and 60-year-old Steven Buss, both of Adams.

The collision happened at about 11:30, Sunday morning, at the intersection of South 162nd Road and Birch Road.

Adams Fire and Rescue used extrication equipment to free Schuster from the wreckage of his vehicle.  He was flown by medical helicopter to Bryan LGH West Medical Center, in Lincoln.  Buss was taken to the same hospital by Adams Rescue.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.  Both men had been transferred to the hospital prior to deputies arriving on the scene.

The conditions of the two injured men were not immediately known.
