BEATRICE – Gage County Sheriff’s deputies investigated a three-vehicle accident just west of Clatonia, Sunday at around five p.m.

Authorities say a pickup driven by 28-year-old Jack Bursovsky, of Filley was eastbound on Nebraska Highway 41, slowing to turn north on Southwest 114th Road.

38-year-old Patrick Brestel of Lincoln was following in a pickup, and 43-year-old Amy Rezny, of Wilber was driving a van behind Brestel.

Investigators determined that Rezny failed to slow down, and struck the pickup in front of her, then struck the pickup driven by Bursovsky.

Rezny suffered a non-life-threatening injury and was flown by medical helicopter to Bryan LGH West, in Lincoln.  Passengers in the van and a passenger in one of the pickups, were not injured.

Deputies say all occupants were using seat belts.  Clatonia and Cortland Rescue units responded to the scene of the accident.
