Three Injured in Wymore Accident

BEATRICE – A highway accident in Wymore last night slowed traffic during the early evening hours.

The accident causing injuries happened at about 7:20 p.m. along U.S. Highway 77, or 14th Street, near a Casey’s General Store.

Wymore Police Chief Anthony Shepardson says the accident happened when a southbound vehicle on 14th Street struck the rear of a southbound vehicle in front of it.  One of the vehicles went through a yard, hitting a mailbox.

One vehicle came to rest south of “G” Street while the other came to rest just west of 14th and “G”.

Three persons were taken to Beatrice Community Hospital by Wymore EMS personnel, with non-life-threatening injuries.  Their identities have not been released.  Investigation of the accident continues.
