Parde says he’d like to see the issue of pay placed on the council’s agenda in two weeks, for discussion. Councilman Ted Fairbanks believes state law may tie the council and mayor positions together, regarding any changes in pay. Parde said its been a long time since the council discussed a change in compensation.
Parde said he’s planning on staying on the council, at least through October.
