HEBRON – The Thayer County Sheriff’s office is investigating suspicious activity reported in Hebron on Tuesday.

Law enforcement first reported in a lengthy Facebook post Tuesday night that a female jogger was contacted by a male subject, who’s described as a black male driving an older model, four-door, dark-colored Buick with Kansas license plates. The numbers “888” were included in the plate number.

The female jogger told the sheriff’s office that the male started a dialogue with her while she was jogging, and attempted to reestablish contact after exiting his vehicle.

Two witnesses checked on the jogger to make sure she was okay, causing the male subject to leave the area.

Thayer County law enforcement encourages any Hebron residents who may have seen this vehicle to contact them immediately.

They also encourage residents to be constantly aware of one’s surroundings, and to always report any type of suspicious activity.

We strive for accuracy. Report a typo, inaccuracy, or mistake here.
