Tecumseh Pool Books Elvis For Halloween Dance

TECUMSEH – The Tecumseh Aquatic Association is hosting a dance and Halloween party to benefit a new swimming pool.

The event from 8 to 10 p.m. at the Tecumseh Community Center features Bill Chrastil’s Tribute to Elvis Show.

Jim Philippi says engineering for the proposed pool should be complete in January and the city council is on board with a completion date in May of 2020.

Philippi said there is a lot of fundraising ahead.

Philippi: “The Tecumseh Aquatic Association, we’ve committed to raise $250,000 towards the pool and then the other founds will come out of the city budget. We’re hoping we won’t have raise property taxes in town, so that is our goal and I think we’re going to be okay.”

Dance tickets are $15 at the door and $10 advanced at city hall. Costumes are recommended, but not required.

Chrastil, a 2017 Valley Star award winner for male vocalist of the year, has been inducted in the Nebraska and South Dakota Music Hall of Fame.
