Suspect Arrested in Wymore Assault of Woman, While Children Present

BEATRICE – Wymore Police have arrested a 23-year-old man after being called to investigate a domestic assault incident in the 900 block of West “I” Street.

A woman suffered numerous bruises in the assault.  Justis Barnhouse has been booked on suspicion of domestic assault, 2nd degree false imprisonment, criminal mischief and two counts of negligent child abuse.

The Wymore Police Chief said in an affidavit that two young children were present during the incident.  The woman who was injured was able to leave the scene in a car, with the two children.

Appearance bond has been set at $5,000 for Barnhouse, in Gage County Court.

45-year-old Shawn Huntington was bound over to Gage County District Court on felony charges of theft by receiving stolen property and possession of burglar tools.   He also faces a misdemeanor theft charge.   A preliminary hearing was held in Gage County Court, and arraignment in district court is now set for November 15th.

27-year-old Paige Harwood waived preliminary hearing on a felony charge of possessing the drug, Tramadol.  Her district court arraignment is scheduled for December 7th.

25-year-old Zachary Bond waived preliminary on two charges of illegal drug possession.  His Gage County District Court arraignment is scheduled for November 16th.
