Sunday Emergency in West Beatrice, Involved Meth-Heroin Combination

BEATRICE – The condition of a man hospitalized in critical condition following a west Beatrice drug incident Sunday, has improved significantly at a Lincoln Hospital.

Police, Sheriff’s officers and Beatrice Fire and Rescue personnel were sent to the area of West Court and Sherman Street early Sunday night, after receiving a report of two men who were unresponsive.

Chief of Police Bruce Lang says the incident involved the alleged use of methamphetamine laced with heroin…a case not frequently encountered by local law officers.
