NORFOLK – While construction continues, the Norfolk Public Library is beginning their summer reading program.
Enrollment in the annual program began on Monday. Organizers say that while the library expansion project will be in full swing all summer, that won’t affect their normally busy slate of summertime activities.
“It is our goal to keep things as normal as possible and to keep offering our services,” said youth services supervisor Karen Drevo. “We hope people will come down. We’ve had a lot of fun watching the construction going on. There’s something different every day.”
The only major change will be to the weekly Friday morning programs, which will be moved to the Norfolk Arts Center this summer.
The reading program is open to residents of any age group. A schedule of events and enrollment information can be found at the library’s website.
