Street, Park Work Going on in East Beatrice
19th Street Closure

BEATRICE – Beatrice Street crews have reopened Dorsey Avenue to travel, but a section of North 19th is now closed for construction.  Part of 19th is closed between Court and Lincoln Streets. New concrete surface is being installed.

City Administrator Tobias Tempelmeyer says a contractor will move back to Dorsey Avenue this summer to grind pavement to make that driving surface smoother.  Dorsey had been closed for several weeks for concrete repair and intersection work.

Meanwhile, recreational construction has been going on at Hannibal Park.   Tempelmeyer says a new picnic shelter has been built.
