Storm Moving Along Highway 30 Towards Columbus

OMAHA – The National Weather Service’s latest tracks of a Severe Thunderstorm, show it moving through Central City towards the Columbus area.

As of 7:46 p.m. the storm was approaching the Merrick County Area, including Central City, Chapman, and Clarks. The Storm is moving at approximately 50 miles per hour towards the northeast, with a severe portion of the storm appearing to track roughly along Highway 30, between Central City and Columbus.

The storm is capable of producing 60-65 mph gusts, and heavy rainfall could produce stream flooding, and water ponding on the roads, says the NWS.
