CENTER – Residents in a Northeast Nebraska County are dealing with an inconvenience they rarely experience – stop lights.
Thanks to bridge construction in the town of Center, the tiny village is currently home to the only two stop lights in all of Knox County, which has a population of 8,701.
Knox County law enforcement officials say they’ve had to stop quite a few drivers who just can’t seem to wait for those red lights to turn green.
Residents in Center will only have to deal with the lights for a little while longer. The Nebraska Department of Roads is estimating that the bridge-work will be done in June.
