Stone Hollow Brewery Receives Favorable City Recommendations on Licenses
Beatrice Mercantile Building

BEATRICE – The Beatrice City Council has recommended Nebraska Liquor Commission approval of two liquor licenses for a planned brewery, at 301 Court.

Public hearings were held Monday night for Stone Hollow Brewing company LLC, and their request for a Class-L and Class CK liquor licenses.

Todd and Sonja Hydo are developing the project located on the southeast corner of 3rd and Court.  The Hydo’s own what’s named the Beatrice Mercantile building.  Hydo says the opening of the business may be a little later than first expected.

The Hydo’s own one-third of the Stone Hollow Brewing Company.  A class L license is for craft breweries…..while a class CK license is for on and off-sale liquor sales and catering.

Hydo says piping, wiring and ventilation systems will be put in place….and he says the operation could begin brewing beer sometime in November.

Hydo says Stone Hollow will also have a cider-making license…only the second one in the State of Nebraska.

Both permit applications were recommended for approval on a 6-0 vote, with one member absent.  Councilman Rick Clabaugh abstained on both applications, because he’s a financial partner in the project.
