LINCOLN, NE (AP) – A central Nebraska man has claimed his Lucky for Life lottery prize.
The Nebraska Lottery says Troy Kleffner took the lump sum of $390,000 on Tuesday instead of the annuity that would have paid him $25,000 a year for life. He bought the ticket at Peoples Service of Spalding in the Greeley County community where he lives. The ticket matched the numbers on five white balls in Monday’s drawing but didn’t match the Lucky Ball number. If it had, the ticket would have been worth one thousand dollars a day for life.
Kleffner says he’s planning on using some of the prize money for his kids’ college fund.
