Snow Possible for SE Nebraska in Middle of Week before Warmer Weekend

OMAHA – Residents of southeast Nebraska could see snow on Tuesday and Wednesday, before the area heats up for the weekend.

The National Weather Service in Omaha says the southeast area of the state, which includes Nebraska City, Falls City, Beatrice, Tecumseh, Plattsmouth, Auburn and surrounding towns, could see light snow, beginning early Tuesday morning.

Then on Wednesday morning and early afternoon, the area could see a wintry mix of rain and snow, with chances of precipitation hovering around 25%.

Snow accumulations are not expected to be over an inch on either of those two days.

High temperatures for Tuesday and Wednesday are estimated to be in the high 20’s and low 30’s.

The weather is then predicted to turn on Thursday, with high temperatures in the mid-upper 50’s on Thursday, and the low 60’s on Friday.

Temps could then gradually rise over the weekend, with a high of 70 degrees predicted for Sunday.
