Sentenced to Probation Last Week, Woman Under Arrest Again

BEATRICE – A woman sentenced to probation in Gage County District Court last week, is back in custody.

Beatrice Police arrested 27-year-old Taylor Closs-Jensen on Monday, on suspicion of driving on a suspended license and possession of the drug, Alprazolam.

A patrolling Beatrice Police officer identified Closs-Jensen as the driver of a vehicle near 19th and Scott, and records showed her license had previously been suspended.  She had two prior D-U-S convictions from last March.

In addition to her arrest, police arrested a passenger, James White Jr., on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and Alprazolam and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Police located pills in a sunglass compartment of the vehicle and found suspected methamphetamine and a glass drug pipe.

Bond for Closs-Jensen is set at $10,000 in Gage County Court, while White’s bond is set at $5,000.  Both face further hearing, August 28th.

Last Thursday, Closs-Jensen had been sentenced to a two-year probation term in two criminal cases.
