Remains Found South of Beatrice, Identified Through Autopsy

BEATRICE – An autopsy investigation has confirmed that remains found more than a month ago south of Beatrice, are that of a Beatrice man who had gone missing.

Gage County Attorney and Coroner, Roger Harris and Gage County Sheriff, Millard “Gus” Gustafson, said Monday that the skeletal remains found have been positively identified as those of Edward Parker.  The remains were found September 20, approximately two miles South of Beatrice.  Parker had been reported missing since June, 2018.

Edward Parker was with his brother around June 1st.  The pair went separate ways, and Parker had not been seen, since that time.

The Gage County Coroner noted that the identification had been made by a forensic dental oral autopsy.  The investigation did not determine a cause of death.  Harris said no foul play has been indicated, at this time.
