Reinke Manufacturing announces winners of Employee/Student, Community Scholarships

DESHLER – Reinke Manufacturing announced the three high school winners of the Reinke Employee/Student Scholarship.

This marks the 15th year of the Reinke Scholarship Program, which includes both the Community Scholarship and the Employee/Student Scholarship.

The Reinke Employee/Student Scholarship Program awards a total of three $1,000 scholarships to children of Reinke employees. This year’s recipients are:

Alexia Fayle – she is the daughter of Rick and Lori Fayle of Deshler. She will graduate from Deshler Public School and attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln this fall. She plans to study business administration. Her father is a group leader for welding and her mother and mother is a galvanizing planner/scheduler supervisor.

McKenzie Johnson – she is the daughter of Dennis and Carol Johnson of Hebron. She will graduate from Thayer Central High School and plans to study broadcasting at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. His father, Dennis, is a galvanizing scheduling assistant with Reinke.

Sydney Roth – she is the daughter of Chris and Kim Roth. Sydney graduates from Deshler Public School with plans to study elementary education at Doane University. Her father, Chris, is president of Reinke.

Reinke also awarded their Community Scholarship to seven area high school seniors. The recipients of the Community Scholarship receive $500 toward their college education.

Those winners are:

Brody Carlgren is the son of Troy and Allison Carlgren. He will graduate from Pike Valley High School and plans to attend Southeast Community College in Beatrice. He is undecided on a major.

Hutch Finke is the son of Scott of Marla Finke. He will graduate from Deshler Public Schools with plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to study agriculture/agribusiness.

Toriann Likens is the daughter of Tony and Lana Likens. She will graduate from Fairbury High School and plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to study agriculture/agribusiness.

Glenn Meyer is the son of Verryl and Jodi Meyer. He will graduate from the Bruning-Davenport School District and plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to study agriculture/agribusiness.

Megan Miller is the daughter of Arnold and Dayna Miller. She will graduate from Superior High School and plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to study agriculture/agribusiness.

Zachary Parde is the son of Josh and Nicol Parde. He will graduate from Republic County High School and plans to attend Fort Hays State University to study business administration.

Boone Svoboda is the son of Arnold and Teresa Svoboda. He will graduate from Lawrence/Nelson Public Schools and plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to study agriculture/agribusiness.

The Reinke Manufacturing Employee/Student Scholarship Program is administered by Scholarship Management Services, a program of Scholarship America, which is the nation’s largest non-profit private sector scholarship and educational support organization.

The organization selected the recipients of the scholarships based on the standard Scholarship America criteria, including academic performance, demonstrated leadership, participation in school and community activities, work experience, extenuating personal or family circumstances, an outside appraisal and a statement of career and educational goals and aspirations.
