PERU – Southeast Nebraska math-letes will put their arithmetic skills to the test on Friday.
Peru State College, along with the Peru St. Mathematics club, will host the 24th annual Southeast Nebraska Mathematics Challenge on Friday, March 17th.
High school students throughout southeast Nebraska will be challenged in four math subject areas including, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus and Calculus. The students are split into three divisions based on school size, and the kids will take individual multiple choice exams, a long with team exams or compete in a quiz bowl against other teams.
Awards will be given to the winners and quiz bowl finalists.
The event was founded in 1993 by area teachers who wanted to better develop math education in southeast Nebraska.
